2015 Minnesota Vikings Schedule – Tough First 6 Weeks

Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have  a difficult beginning to the 2015 season because they face six straight opponents who finished at either .500 or better last season. If the Minnesota Vikings can survive their early season gauntlet they do have a good mid-season schedule and they play three of the last five games at home. The Minnesota Vikings start week 1 on Monday Night Football on ESPN when they go to the San Francisco 49ers on September 14th.

The start of the season for the Vikings is difficult in 2015 as they do not have any easy games in the first eight weeks. The important thing will undoubtedly be finding ways to beat the Detroit Lions because they face the Lions twice in the first seven weeks. The bye week really won’t help the Vikings much because it comes early in the season in Week 5.

The Vikings have the 12th most difficult schedule in the NFL in 2015. Minnesota will undoubtedly be featured in prime time just twice since they are on ESPN to open the season and they play a late season game on NFL Network at Arizona. Last season the Vikings went 8-8 and missed the playoffs. To finish with a winning record this season they will have to survive an early season slate and then discover a way to beat either Green Bay or Seattle down the stretch as the face the Seahawks in Week 13 and the Packers twice within the last seven weeks of the season.
