The Denver Broncos are on the road to face Chicago Bears on Sunday, November 22nd. There will be no Manning at quarterback on Sunday as Brock Osweiler takes over for Peyton Manning. The Denver offense has been terrible all season and Manning has played poorly all season long. On the other side, the Chicago Bears are playing well, they have won 2 straight games and back in playoff contention in the NFC. Linesmakers opened the Denver Broncos as slight favorites in this game but now the Chicago Bears are favored. Let’s take a look at matchup and NFL predictions for this game this week.
The Broncos have among the top records in the league at 7-2 but they’ve a large question at quarterback as Osweiler gets control of for Manning. “Anything that we’ve been doing offensively, Brock’s been doing a similar thing used,” head coach Gary Kubiak said. “You saw Brock (Sunday). He moved around, made some great plays, made some guys miss and those kinds of things. Every player has their abilities and their strengths, but we have to run our scheme better regardless. This is the bottom line, so that’s our focus right now.” The Denver offense probably can’t be any worse than it was with Manning who was simply playing as poorly as he ever has. Denver has some talent on offense with Demaryius Thomas at receiver and C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman at running back. The reason the Broncos have seven wins is their defense that’s allowing just 18.7 points per game but even the defense has slipped days gone by couple of weeks. Denver went under 5 times this season with 3 games exceeding with 1 push.
The Bears are suddenly a playoff contender in the weak NFC. They are playing well under head coach John Fox and Jay Cutler has found new life under offensive coordinator Adam Gase. The Bears haven’t even missed running back Matt Forte as Jeremy Langford has played great. Chicago’s overall numbers remain not that great while they score just 22 points per game and allow 26 points per contest but in the past couple of games Chicago appears to have turned the corner. NFL Predictions – The best bet is to go under the posted total.
