The Chicago Bulls have already let go of Luol Deng as they are going to be saving $20 million and gain a bunch of future draft picks. Chicago’s is not in the “win now mode” with all the trades could be made with the idea of adding assets and improving their salary cap room for the 2014-15 season. With that being said, there is a chance GM Gar Forman will shop Kirk Hinrich, Marquis Teague and Mike Dunleavy. NBA Rumor – Rockets interested in Mike Dunleavy
Hinrich has already been linked with the Golden State Warriors in the rumor mill and many teams targeting the 2014 playoffs may call Forman with a good enough package, another future draft pick, to get a trade done by the Feb. 20 deadline.
The other player who should also have a decent trade market is Dunleavy. In fact, Sam Amick of USA Today reports the Houston Rockets may target the swingman due to his all-around ability on the floor and decent salary. Dunleavy is making $3.18 million this season and $3.32 million in 2014-15.
Teague has little trade value and Forman will likely try to include him in all potential deals he’ll negotiate with other teams. Teague is signed through 2014-15 and is owed $1.12 million next season.
