The New York Yankees need pitching help. They need a 5th pitcher for their rotation. After they lost Chris Capuano to injury, the Yankees are needing pitching depth to greatly help them this season. Although that is a problem that really needs to be resolved quickly, you will find choices for the Yankees.
The Yankees can always go through the minor league route.. But many of the younger ones may possibly not be prepared to pitch in the majors yet. The pitchers that the is looking for include : Kyle Davies, Bryan Mitchell, Chase Whitley, Jaron Long, and Matt Tracy. Today, I don’t think some of these pitchers can be a solid pitcher for the remaining season.
Another route the Yankees might take is they could look at the free agent pitchers out there now, however, not plenty of pitchers are out there for right now. I think the Yankees should look to trade for a starting pitcher, particularly round the trade deadline.
Today the Yankees are not linked to any pitchers but as the trade deadline approaches, expect the Yankees to look to make some moves to nab a starting pitcher.
