The San Antonio Spurs are just 8-6 without starting small forward Kawhi Leonard out of the line up with a broken right hand. Leonard practiced yesterday and looking to return soon, but there is no set date.
Leonard might return later this week as they play Charlotte on Friday and Dallas on Sunday. In other injury news, Popovich has no idea when Tony Parker might re-join the active roster.
Until Leonard and Parker return to the lineup, Popovich will start Cory Joseph at point guard and Danny Green at small forward.
“Kawhi did everything (Monday),” head coach Gregg Popovich told the San Antonio Express-News. “We’ll just see how he comes out, the pain tolerance. I think he feels some here and there, but we’ll see how he feels in a little while and tomorrow morning.”
“It’s hard to measure,” Popopvich said. “There’s no specific injury. There’s a lot of little things. He just needs time off.”
