The Russell Westbrook triple-double watch will launch again once the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Chicago Bulls. Westbrook got unbelievable 6th triple-double in eight games on Friday night contrary to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Some of those two games he didn’t record one was contrary to the Bulls. All he did that game was score 43 points to go with eight rebounds and seven assists. However, the Bulls got the past laugh while they came away with the 108-105 victory.
Westbrook and the Thunder would want to chance that last part in this game, because they’re still locked up in a struggle for the final playoff spot in the West. The New Orleans Pelicans won’t disappear and actually have the identical record because the Thunder.
Oklahoma City it’s still without Kevin Durant for another fourteen days, which gives them almost no room for error down the stretch. The Bulls know anything or two about being short-handed since they are without Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. They have had the opportunity to scrap together some wins without them, but it’s possible they are overusing their remaining players in somewhat meaningless games.
Chicago is safely in the playoffs, and figures to be the four or 5 seed. The best thing is to get everybody healthy for NBA playoff time is much more important than grinding out games to have home court. Pau Gasol has been accumulating a lot of minutes in recent games, that will be something to watch on. The situation, though, is that Tom Thibodeau isn’t a coach that’s willing to rest players.
The string of injuries on the Bulls in addition has led to a growth in Nikola Mirotic‘s minutes. The rookie has busted out of a mid-season slump and has averaged 17.1 PPG over his last 10 games. His improved play has been a big the main Bulls playing competitive basketball in recent games. Chicago has already been getting good production from Aaron Brooks and Tony Snell. Unfortunately, all three of these guys are supposed to be coming off the bench, meaning they’ve zero depth at the moment.
The Thunder should manage to take advantage of that making use of their new look roster. They’re a further team with additions of Enes Kanter, Kyle Singler and D.J. Augustin. Kanter, specifically, has given them a consistent post scorer. He not much of a defensive player, but the Thunder have gotten away with this by pairing him with Serge Ibaka. However, they weren’t in a position to deploy that strategy within their last game as Ibaka sat out with knee soreness. It’s unclear what Ibaka’s status will undoubtedly be for Sunday.
The Bulls will require a couple of players to have hot shooting games should they will come away with the win. I think Oklahoma City will undoubtedly be too much for them to handle at home, while Russell Westbrook can get another triple-double, and the Thunder can get another key win. NBA Basketball Pick OKC by 10 or more points.
