The Trail Blazers will go to the Clippers in a fight between the fourth and fifth seeds in the Western Conference. Trail Blazers are 3-1 since the adding of Arron Afflalo and can look to carry on success not only contrary to the Clippers, but against a few more playoff teams it’ll face in the near future. The Clippers are little banged up today, but are maintaining. They will be without Blake Griffin and possibly Jamal Crawford. Paul and Jordan have led just how at the time of late.
Portland made a huge splash in acquiring the veteran Afflalo. It appears to be always a perfect fit and now that the Trail Blazers have most of the health back, they’re hoping to possess a good second half and keep a top-four seed in the western conference. Lillard and Aldridge are on top of their games this season, and Matthews has been nothing in short supply of fantastic. Batum is starting in the future along, and this will be a very dangerous team come playoff time if he clicks.
Los Angeles is on the opposite end of the health stick today, with injuries affecting key players like Crawford and Barnes. What’s promising is which they expect Griffin to come back soon. Paul is having another sharp season and Jordan is starting to determine himself as a top big man in the league. The Clippers are merely a half game back of Portland and a half game in front of the Dallas Mavericks for the fifth spot, so that they may wish to create some separation.
The main element for Portland is turning off Paul. If the Clippers are without Crawford, it will be needing some serious scoring from role players like Barnes and Hawes. Paul is a superb distributor but if Portland can force him into tough situations, it can have an easier time contrary to the injury-riddled Clippers. The main element for Los Angeles is winning the boaards. Portland is 3rd in the league in rebounds per game, so winning that battle would go quite a distance for Los Angeles.
I do believe Portland’s lethal attack is going to be too much for the Clippers to deal with, especially with the injuries they have. It should still be described as a relatively close game, but I do believe the Trail Blazers are certain to get the win.
